What is rich soil and how to make it

Whether you are growing flowers, herbs, vegetables, a lawn, or a shrub border, healthy soil is an absolute must. Your plants will be less prone to pest and disease issues, they’ll grow better, and they’ll look better. With a bit of know-how, some work, and some patience, you can have healthy soil.

Rich soil must be satisfactory in three ways:

  1. Chemically it must contain adequate amounts of essential nutrient contents, be of suitable acid-alkaline reaction and free of substances toxic to plant growth.
  2. Physically it should be of such soil structure that water drains through and air gains ready admittance, but not so loose that it does not retain enough moisture and nutrients for the plants’ needs.
  3. Biologically it should contain an abundance of favorable bacterial and other helpful soil organisms and a minimum of harmful ones such as nematodes. Biological improvement naturally follows betterment of chemical and physical conditions.

Fortunately, almost any soil can be improved and made suitable for planting even stubborn, infertile subsoil. With a bit of know-how, some work, and some patience, you can have healthy soil, no matter what kind of soil you are starting with.

We can enrich the soil by adjusting the PH of it, disrupting it as little as possible, and improving the clay soil. Besides, the most important thing is to add organic matter.

Adding organic matter is hands-down, without a doubt, the number one way to improve your soil. Whether your soil is clayey, sandy, low in nutrients, compacted, has poor drainage… organic matter will fix it.

So what should you be adding to your soil? Here is a recommendation for you that can significantly improve organic matter for the soil.

New-Nutri Humic Acid Fertilizer is a natural soil conditioner. It increases nutrient uptake, drought resistance, and seed germination. It increases the microbial activity in the soil, making it an excellent root stimulator. It increases the availability of nutrients in our fertilizers and in those already existing in your soil. It will help to aerate the soil from the inside. It will also help to adjust the PH of the soil to a more neutral level and will flush high levels of salts out of the root zone, all of which will help to promote better plant health and growth.

With these tips, with these organic fertilizers, you will see a vast improvement in the quality of your soil, and, therefore, in the health and beauty of your plants. It will take a little time, but your patience will be well rewarded.
